What We’ll Do:
  • Remove marine debris from the shoreline
  • Collect viable mangrove propagules for restoration projects
  • Celebrate and learn about the incredible role mangroves play in protecting the Florida Keys

What to Bring:
  • Sun protection
  • Bug spray
  • Shoes that can get wet and dirty
  • Reusable water bottle

Can’t make it to the event, but still want to help? Bring propagules to the Key West Aquarium for discounted admission on July 26, 2026!

Together, we’ll help protect one of the largest remaining undeveloped areas in the Lower Keys—a unique shoreline that not only collects marine debris but also serves as an important gathering place for mangrove propagules (baby mangroves) carried in by the tides.
Why does this matter? Last year, a significant percentage of the propagules used in Coastlove’s mangrove restoration projects were collected during this very event, helping support future mangrove outplanting efforts throughout the Keys. By joining us, you’ll play a direct role in restoring our coastlines, improving water quality, creating wildlife habitat, and helping our islands stay resilient.
